I like that the wind can hurl me its bluster but not knock me down
I like that the clouds can throw me their tears but not make me cry
I like that the hail can pelt her tiny marbles, but that I can turn my back and laugh
I like that the mist can surround me in its veil but not get me lost
I like that the sun can scorch my skin but another will grow
I like that the frost can nip at my fingers but not to the bone
I like that the ice can cover my path but not take my balance
I like that I am better than those things, that I can outsmart them, my wit a shield to their evil charms
When the world gives me weather and that weather is unkind, I like that I can write a poem and hurl it straight back
I like that.
