Not again! Oh well, better get out the walking boots.

Well if the first lockdown could not have been predicted, how on earth could a second? A little different this time round, not least because of the weather. Another difference was that many more people were still working throughout, so the freedoms afforded by that glorious spring last year, were not to be exploited again. April was dry, but then we had the wettest May for a long time, meaning only the most resolute of walkers were venturing outside for that daily walk. During this period I ventured beyond the park and tried to walk three or four times a week, sometimes just for three or four miles, but often for six or seven around Crank or Carr Mill and beyond towards Billinge, exploring paths I had never ventured down before.
